Technology Services focus is to delight our students and staff by providing outstanding service and resources to support learning. The department coordinates the district’s technology and assessment program. Our students are amazing and we welcome any question or concern so we can make improvements to our students' learning environment.
We are so thankful to our community for providing the necessary resources to construct a fiber network that will allow for high-speed connectivity between all of our schools. Construction is planned to begin in January of 2018.
Our students at the high school have been 1:1 with take home laptops or Chromebooks for over four years. Students at the middle school have near 1:1 access and use these computers only at school. Students in 4k through second grade develop their skills with classroom iPads. Each of the third through fifth grade classrooms has a minimum of 12 Chromebooks available for student use.
Students are exposed to various operating systems (Apple, Windows, Chrome). Also, classrooms at all levels are equipped with smartboards, projectors, and document cameras. All schools have full wireless capabilities and computer labs are put in place when necessary. We are a googleapps district, but also provide students access to Office 360 as an alternative.
Students in the middle and high school use the learning management system Schoology on a daily basis to access assignments and digital resources. Elementary students will begin using Schoology in grades 3-5 starting in 2017-18.
Our students are technology savvy and preparing themselves to be successful in an ever-changing world. We are excited and proud of each of our students!
