Friday, May 24, will be a teacher workday. We didn't have enough school cancellations due to weather to make up a day. Enjoy the long weekend, families!
School Board officers selected
The School Board recently held its annual reorganization meeting. Faith VanderHorst was selected as president, Ron Bertieri as vice president, Gina Palazzari as clerk and Scott Ternes as treasurer.
2013-14 Staffing Budget Update
The School Board on April 22 approved teaching staff reductions due to the state-imposed budget freeze. See more information here.
Students lead fight against cancer
High school students are again organizing a Relay for Life event to benefit the American Cancer Society. This year's event is May 31 form 5-11 p.m. A rummage sale to beneft the Relay is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at the high school. Read more about the students' effort here.
